Your limiting beliefs - Accessing your operating manual

Are you all that you can be?

Would you believe me when I say there may be thoughts we have, that hold us back from achieving true success and true happiness in our lives?

If you were to look back on your life, from the earliest memories you have up until where you are today:

  • How many times have you stumbled just before you were about to reach your goal?
  • Does self-doubt creep often into your thoughts?
  • Do the roller coasters in your life seem more intense than others? The highs are ecstatic highs, but when the valleys come, they impact you harder than they do for other people?

You may have thoughts, perceptions, opinions that you have formed over the course of your lifetime, and which you truly believe as absolute truth. But, they could be holding you back, and giving you very little to no space, to grow on a personal and professional level.

The general understanding is that many limiting beliefs are created while we are still children. Expectations and feedback from our family, teachers, peers and external sensory stimuli like TV, music, books, and more further add to the ‘story of our life’ that we think is true.

As a result, we create limiting beliefs about:

  • Ourselves
  • Our interactions with other people
  • How the world works

Many people may live their whole lives, unaware they have beliefs that are restrictive. But they are still able to function as productive and contributing members of society. Many are still capable of living happy and successful lives.

But if these beliefs are causing conditions like anxiety and depression, professional help is recommended.

It is finally being able to understand what makes you tick, how you operate in the world, and how you write the Story of your Life.

That said, it is recommended for someone certified in hypnotherapy to guide you on that journey of discovery of You.

Because the whole process usually begins with a life coach or a mental health therapist these professionals would usually equip themselves with the certified ability to also conduct hypnotherapy sessions.

This is helpful to ensure that the whole process of discovery and healing, can be a seamless one.
